About Us

Our Philosophy

We are environmental professionals who can't stand wasting time on inefficient processes and bristle whenever we hear "that's just the way it is." Each of us has between 10 and 18 years of experience working as environmental consultants for clients in the resource and government sectors.

After achieving a steady stream of rewarding internal and client successes improving data management, we saw that there were opportunities for improve everywhere we turned. So we started our own company to help others do just that.

Our sole interest is in providing the best advice to you for you. We don't have links or deals to other companies. We don't have apps or software to sell. If we make a recommendation, it's because we think it's the right one for you. For us, success is you walking away satisfied with an improved system that suits your needs. You'll like us, but you probably won't need our help again for a long time.

What else can we tell you? Anyone that insists they have all the answers ready and waiting for you seems a little bonkers to us.

We don't claim to have a nicely wrapped package with the all the solutions to all of your problems. We will listen to understand your unique problems and can spend the time to work with you. We probably have a few good ideas about where to start but the solutions really are dependent upon what you want and need.

The Touchstones of Overstone

  • Inspire the entire team to think of the world as data. More minds pulling in the same direction will spawn amazing solutions we can't imagine.
  • Assess the situation: What do you have, where would you like to be, what causes grief and waste, what do you love, what have you tried and failed at in the past? Why?
  • Avoid wasted time, effort, money...like the plague.
  • Mindless, repetitive tasks are the plague.
  • Choose improvements that will pay off.
  • Use the tools you have first.
  • Take a bite sized approach to improvements whenever possible.
  • Implement low maintenance, sustainable solutions.
  • Do what's right for the client (you). That's what's best for us. Every. Single. Time.
